AIB DBSC ROYAL ALFRED YACHT CLUB COASTAL RACE

The AIB DBSC Royal Alfred Yacht Club Super League Coastal Race will take place on Saturdays 29th September and 12 September from Corinthian Committee Boat for Cruisers 0, 1, 31.7 and 2s.

Cruisers 4&5 are competing in a Feeder Race to Greystones in time for the A Taste of Greystones Regatta 2026 so will not be racing in the RAYC Coastal Race on Saturday 29th August. However, they will be racing in the Coastal Race on Saturday 12th September.

The RAYC Superleague Coastal race will be announced on CH74.

The Coastal Race schedule is detailed below

SATURDAY RED FLEET on SATURDAYS 29th AUGUST AND 12 SEPTEMBER

This amendment changes Sailing Instructions Supplement B, and applies on Saturdays 29 August and 12 September only. It only affects the Saturday Red Fleet and Dublin Bay 21s, who are scheduled to race from a committee boat on those dates. Due to the ILCA World Championships, those races will be in Scotsman’s Bay. West Pier Hut is not operational on these two dates.

This amendment allows the Race Officer to use Course Card 4, Thursday Red Fleet, and to repeat a course or combine two courses from that course card, to get a longer race. The Race Officer may also design a platonic course, as in the original Sailing Instructions. Please listen on VHF Ch.74 before and during racing.

The finishing line will be approximately upwind of the last mark, but may be farther upwind than normal.

With long courses in a relatively small race area, a course might pass close to the finishing area more than once. To avoid confusion, this amendment prohibits boats from crossing the finishing line unless finishing.
