This amendment changes Sailing Instructions Supplement B, and applies on Saturdays 29 August and 12 September only. It only affects the Saturday Red Fleet and Dublin Bay 21s, who are scheduled to race from a committee boat on those dates. Due to the ILCA World Championships, those races will be in Scotsman’s Bay.

This amendment allows the Race Officer to use Course Card 4, Thursday Red Fleet, and to repeat a course or combine two courses from that course card, to get a longer race. The Race Officer may also design a platonic course, as in the original Sailing Instructions. Please listen on VHF Ch.74 before and during racing.

The finishing line will be approximately upwind of the last mark, but may be farther upwind than normal.

With long courses in a relatively small race area, a course might pass close to the finishing area more than once. To avoid confusion, this amendment prohibits boats from crossing the finishing line unless finishing.
